PIPOC 2023
We attended the International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition (PIPOC) 2023 which took place from the 7th to the 9th of November at the KLCC Convention Centre. The event, which is organised annually by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) was themed “Navigating Uncertainties, Building Resiliencies” and acted as a forum to bring together speakers from from across the sector to share their insights surrounding the latest research and technologies propelling the industry forwards.
The event features four concurrent conference modules covering key areas of scientific research impacting the planation industry. The four modules that were covered were Biotechnology and Sustainability (ABS), Downstream and Value Addition (DVA), Processing, Food Safety and Nutrition (PFSN) and Global Economics and Marketing (GEM).

While we were able to better understand some of the key challenges facing the industry and the scientific progress being made in crucial areas to address them, PIPOC also gave us an opportunity to share some our latest product innovations with members of the plantation community.
The ECUT ACE precision electrical harvesting cutter, which has been re-designed and re-engineered for optimal harvesting efficiency was on display. We were also excited to reveal the EVAC 180 motorised and electrical loose fruit evacuator, which has been built to significantly reduce downtimes and boost the rate of evacuation of palm oil FFB in the field. Both products were designed and engineered from the ground up with the support of the IRGA Engineering team.
As always, we’re grateful for having been able to attend this engaging and illuminating event, and come away with renewed purpose and drive to deliver high impact tools and equipment that effectively support the industry to meet goals aligned with improved operational efficiency and higher productivity.
